You’ve also heard “necessity is the mother of invention.” Well, we certainly are in a period when inventing – new solutions, new partnerships, new ideas – is necessary, and in fact is leading to a wealth of creativity not seen in the event industry in a long time.

  BIG SHOW adds new director of sales to team!
 


BIG SHOW is delighted to welcome Susan Levy as its new director of sales. Susan brings to BSP a track record of success in sales and relationship management, having spent 20 years working in the organizational development, hospitality and special event industries.

With a business and sales philosophy centered on the importance of building and maintaining lasting partnerships, Susan has been able to create unique and memorable experiences time and again for her varied clientele. She focuses on helping them to clearly identify their objectives and customizing solutions that allow her clients to achieve their ultimate goals. Towards that end, Susan prides herself on treating every one of her clients as though they were guests in her own living room, offering them an extraordinary blend of focus, enthusiasm, creativity and service.

In her new role, Susan seeks to expand the reach of BIG SHOW, building new partnerships and strengthening existing ones, while aiming to make BIG SHOW the premiere special events partner for her customers.

Susan is a native of Minneapolis, but has lived in the East Bay for nearly a decade. When not hard at work, she is at play with her wonderful husband and two sons, ages 6 and 9.

  • Venue: The Fox Theater is the center jewel in the revitalized Uptown District.
  • Location: 1807 Telegraph Avenue (between 18th and 19th Streets).
  • Perfect for: This remarkable theater can be rented for events of all sizes. The Fox opened in 1928 as a first-run movie theater and was at the heart of Oakland's Uptown entertainment district for almost 40 years. It closed its doors in the 1960s when people started preferring smaller, neighborhood venues and suburban, multiplex theaters. It had a less-than-certain future until the late 1990s when its rebirth began.

    Today, the Fox has reopened in all its glory as the premier special events gem of the Bay Area. Under the direction of Another Planet Entertainment, this stunningly beautiful, fully restored beaux arts theater can be used for receptions for 2,000, sit-down dinners for 500 and performances for 2,800. The theater features a flexible floor plan, stage, state-of-the-art sound and light systems and excellent acoustics.
